The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
